Yesterday, I enjoyed my freedoms as an American.  Freedoms that wouldn't be my own if it weren't for all of the soldiers, like my daddy, who have fought or are fighting for it this very day.

As I pondered over what to talk about today to go along with my Life on a Mission linkup, where I urge my fellow bloggers to share how they are living their lives for Christ or to share what God is teaching them, I thought of this freedom.

I'm free, as an American.  But I'm truly free because of the ultimate sacrifice made.  The one where God sacrificed his Son on my behalf.  His death paid my ransom.

He didn't just do this for me. He did it for you. He did it for the guy down the street. And He did it for that woman on the other side of the world -- the one living in a country where to be a Christian would mean literally losing everything, including her family.

These are the type of people that Wade and I have the honor of ministering to, of praying with, and encouraging when we travel to India in December.

She may not have the freedom I have because of the countries we live in, but she can experience true freedom -- eternal freedom.

I think of her, and I feel so so so unworthy and even more unprepared.  What do I have to offer her?  The truth is nothing. Nothing of myself at least.  But I do have knowledge of the truth, that God loves her.  And I can't wait to tell her that.

The 4th of July is right around the corner.  Yet another holiday we get to enjoy in celebration of our freedom.  With that in mind, I thought I'd share one of my bags with you that I sell to raise money for our trip to India.

Say hello to:

Sure, it's a silly name.  It was actually my nickname in college.  And ever since, I've kinda had a thing for
good 'ol Abe!

I would love for you to be a part of our mission trip at the end of this year.  You can do that by purchasing a bag of your own from my store, by being on of my Featured Ads for June, but more importantly by praying for this hypothetical, but surely very real, woman.

You're turn! What is God teaching you?  How are you using your life for Him? Let's encourage one another!  Link up below, I would love to hear what's on your heart.
