You know when God puts those people in your path that just make things different?
The ones who you didn't necessarily expect to warm your soul, but then they do.
And you know, right then and there, that they were a God-send?
Well, while were were in Mexico, God sent me (and a lot of other people too) one of those people.
Her name is Mary-Helen.
She's married to one of Wade's high school buddies (who also happened to be his college roomie and a groomsmen in our wedding) and this was her first time to Mexico.
Now, to be quite honest, I did have some expectations for Mary. I knew that she had a background of working with the handicapped and I had a very special girl in mind for her.
Little did I know, God had a lot more children in mind than I did.
You see, as it turns out, God introduced our group to a handful of children who benefited greatly from the gifts God's blessed her with. I spent a portion of each day watching Mary give these kids special attention, assess their skills, and give some helpful tips to their parents.
It was, by far, my favorite part of the week.
God knows exactly what we need and supplies it.
He is sovereign and all knowing.
He cares for the hurt and sends his workers to meet their needs and show them love.
He is seriously so, so amazing.
"And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus."
