I don't mean to brag, but I have the best tree in the neighborhood.
I am full-on in love with our little house that we're in right now and this tree is one reason why.

A. It just looks cool.
B. It's home to a family of squirrels >> little babies and everything!
C. I can see it from my window and take 25 photos of them while watching, wide-eyed, their family outing.

Something you might not know about me is my insane love for Squirrels.
  • I will always stop/swerve/nearly die to avoid hitting one in the road.
  • My voice goes really high and squeaky when I point them out to my husband or best friend (who shares this love of squirrels with me).
  • Said best friend & I actually call each other "Squirrel" instead of using names a large portion of the time (from one of those "you had to be there" kind of stories). See? And you thought I was cool.
  • The aforementioned story is probably what triggered this odd obsession.
  • When I was little, my dad would go squirrel hunting and hang the tails over our front door. Random Squirrel Memory.
  • Despite my love for these furry creatures, if one were in a closed space with me, I guarantee I'd be screaming my head off in fear -- in spite of my love for them. I don't do critters up close.
See? There is always more to learn about a person. And I'm still full of surprises.

Just out of curiosity, I googled the scientific term for squirrel obsession. Here are my two favorite Yahoo! forum answers:

1. Squirophile
2. Nutty

HAH. Oh Yahoo groupies... You're so silly.

ps. a lot of people made comment on the graphics used in this post. Here is the site where I found the freebies I used!
