For the past several weeks, I've been struggling to write much of substance. Outside of my marriage letters, this space has been a showcase of photos but mostly it's been pretty silent. Maybe you don't notice as much as I do. In fact, I'm sure you don't. No one is keeping track of how often I write except for me (and my husband who always reminds me if I start skipping too many days ;)
As I've mentioned before, I'm having a hard time finding the time or motivation to stop and assess what's going on in my life through written word. I've scoured through a little notes app on my computer, searching for some blog post ideas I might have jotted down, and I came across a series of post topics on what it looks like to live life on a mission, what that means, and who it applies to.
With our move rapidly approaching, it's the perfect time for this series of topics. Starting Monday July 22nd and continuing on each day until Friday the 26th, I'll be sharing on topics like who's called to be a missionary, what it means to be a follower of Christ, being ready and willing, preparing to go on a mission trip (and being prepared for missional opportunities in general), and how to deal with guilt after returning from a mission trip.
This series will focus on things God has shown me, both in His Word and in my own life, and I hope you'll join me in the conversation by commenting with your own thoughts on the subject during each post! And, if you feel so led, I'll leave a promotional button for the series for you to share on your blogs/social media platforms. Let's start a conversation about what it looks like to live life radically for the gospel.
